Shelf Control #1 : Living Dangerously

Shelf Control is a weekly bookish meme created by Bookshelf Fantasies.

Shelf Control is all about the books we want to read — and already own! Consider this a variation of a Wishing & Waiting post… but looking at books already available, and in most cases, sitting right there on our shelves and e-readers.

Want to participate in Shelf Control? Here’s how:

  • Write a blog post about a book that you own that you haven’t read yet.
  • Add your link below!
  • And if you’d be so kind, I’d appreciate a link back from your own post.
  • Check out other posts, and have fun!

Title: Living Dangerously
Author: Katie Fforde
Published: 2003 by Arrow
Pages: 404

Summary:

Polly Cameron is happy being thirty-five and celibate, living in a small Gloucestershire town with a possessive cat for company and a Rayburn for comfort. After all, a relationship would only complicate things…

But Polly’s life is already complicated. In addition to her job in the Whole Nut café and her part in the ‘Save Our High Street’ campaign, there’s her pottery career to get off the ground. Not to mention dodging the efforts of her friends and mother to find her a husband.. (Goodreads summary)

How I got it:

I purchased it at Popular Bookstore @ Tun Jugah Shopping Mall

When I got it:

Late 2013

Why did I buy/ want to read it:

There was a promotional price for a number of Katie Fforde’s books, from RM 32.90 (US$ 7.85) to RM 8.00 (US$ 1.90).

Also, I always love Katie Fforde’s books, the summary was great, and I felt like reading romance novels at that time. Plus, I love when the story involves coffeeshops/ cafes. It is one of my buzz words for books 😀
