Story Time #1: The Time Someone Asked Me Out On A Coffee Date and I Didn’t Realize It

Hey everyone, it’s been a while. Yeah, I kind of reconnected with my inner Picasso and spend most of my time painting, in between doing chores and reading.

Today, I’m here to tell you a story (I’ll make sure to post reviews, T5W, and others soon, don’t worry) but before that, I’ll tell you what spur this on.

A perfect day to read

Hello, and good morning girls and guys.

My wifi is unfortunately still down, which put a damper in my plan to start blogging more often. If you’re wondering how I’m able to post this now (although you’re probably not), well, that’s what 4g phone data plans are for (but I can’t use mine that often because I’m afraid I’ll finish everything up quickly).

This morning, I woke up at the ungodly hour of fifteen past seven in the morning on a Sunday to the sound of heavy rain.

This video was taken an hour after I woke up, which means, if the rain continues to be this heavy, there’s a high chance that it will last for at least another hour.

It also means…the perfect day to read. Or at least, my version of the perfect day to read a book (or listen to audiobooks if that is your thing). For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved reading on rainy days. My late grandmother used to take me to the library in our neighbourhood every afternoon when she went to the mosque next to the library, and it rain sometimes in the afternoon. I loved the feeling of being cooped up with books on rainy days. That was also the same small library that fostered my love for reading, although that’s a story for another time.

Some of my friends would ask me sometimes. Why are rainy days my perfect reading day? Rainy days generally makes people lazy, which also makes ot the best time for a nap (yes people, babies and children aren’t the only who deserves a nap).

So, here’s my answer. Rainy days = not playing outdoors = cooped up inside the house. Back when I was younger, I was the only girl and plus, it’s not easy to arrange playdates with other people. I usually had to entertain myself because the only pther two kids around my age (my brother and my cousin) are guys, obviously.

What we want to do often clashed 1:2.

So, I ended up turning to books. And wow, my uncle has quite a collection of Hardy Boys books. I ended up reading them all. When my family and I moved to our own house, I started reading even more on rainy days (because my brother took control of the playstation, and if there are storms, we aren’t allowed to use electronics).

I also love reading on rainy days because of the feels. I don’t know how to explain it. Rainy days, to me, feels cold and refreshing. When it’s not raining to hard, I love to seat on the patio, on the swing, and read there.

Aside from that, rainy days give us the perfect excuse, I think. For those who liked to be up and about (I’m an indoor person since my teenage years so this doesn’t include me), you can’t play outdoors when it’s raining. Unless it’s someplace like indoor swimming pool, indoor courts etc. but that’s not what we’re talking about today. So, if you want to be productive on a rainy day, read a book it is. Well, unless you are interested in arts and crafts. Knitting or embroidery are fun things to do on rainy days too.

ANYWAYS, I think I got sidetracked a bit (or not), but that’s why rainy days are my perfect reading days. There’s just a feel to it when it rains, you know?

So, now that you lnow mine, tell me what is your perfect day to read like? I would like to hear from all of you. Leave your answer in the comments below or create a post and leave me a link, any is fine.

I’ll start trying to post more often as soon as my wifi is up again.

Yours truly,

30 Days Blog Challenge: Master of Procrastination (Day 7)

Little kids, children, teenagers, adults… Everyone procrastinates. You’re lying if you tell me that you don’t procrastinate. Today, I’m not going to tell you why people procrastinate, why it happen. Instead, I am going to tell you what I do when I procrastinate (as a self-proclaimed Master of Procrastination).

You see, I write fanfictions, and my own original novel, and I blog, and make song covers (well, used to. Not so much anymore right now). And I have chores to do at home. But I found that I’m always procrastinating. Especially on weekends, and especially when my mum is not in the country (because my mum will bite my head off if I don’t finish washing the dishes, and my dad won’t care as long as there’s still mugs and plates and stuff he could use).

30 Days Blog Challenge: iPod Shuffle (Day 4)

Hey there, everyone~ I’m here again, and so far I’m still posting. Yay!
iPod shuffle is quite a popular internet tag for years. But if some of you don’t know what it is, let me explain. For this one, I’m supposed to put my iPod (or in my case, my MacBook’s iTunes) on shuffle, and list down the first 5 songs. Then, I have to write down what I feel about those songs, or the story behind them.

And so, let’s get started.

30 Days Blog Challenge: On the Shelf (Day 3)

Hey guys~ It’s Day 3, I’m still doing this, and I’m still late but I’m in denial. Besides, I haven’t gone to bed yet, so it’s not yet a new day even thought it is actually 1 a.m. where I am right now. Haha

So, today’s post is On the Shelf. It is kind of self explanatory. What I have to do is list down 3 books from my shelf, and just… write how I feel about them etc.

Now, let’s get on to it…

30 Days Blog Challenge: Close To Your Heart (Day 2)

Hi guys~ It’s the second day of the 30 Days Blog Challenge…well, technically, it’s not, but I’m still awake, I have not gone to bed so I refuse to think of this as a new day.

Today’s topic is Close To Your Heart, and I’m supposed to write about the band/musician that is important to me.

Currently, I don’t really have any favourite bands or musicians. Most of the time, I just listen to whatever sounds nice on Youtube via video suggestions. But I do have three bands that is important to me.

I bet you’re wondering who ;-P Continue reading “30 Days Blog Challenge: Close To Your Heart (Day 2)”
